Why Generic AI Fails for MC Questions
Generic AI (ChatGPT)
- Generic context; loses track in larger documents
- Generates MC questions from general knowledge
- Struggles with handwritten notes and annotations
- Doesn't match your professor's exam style
- May include outdated or irrelevant information
AgenticAnki
- Custom algorithm built for study materials, handwritten notes, and past exams
- Tracks large PDFs so nothing important gets lost
- Understands handwritten annotations
- Tailors questions to your professor's exam style
- Creates all topics & subtopics directly from your study material

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about AgenticAnki.
How is this different from using ChatGPT to generate MC questions?
Try ChatGPT. Seriously. We built AgenticAnki out of necessity after it failed miserably on real course material even with all the PDFs and sample questions. AgenticAnki reads your study materials and handwritten notes, then makes questions that actually line up with your exam questions.
What file formats do you support?
Currently, we support PDF files. You can upload handwritten notes, textbooks, summaries, slides, or any other study material in PDF format. We're working on adding support for more formats soon.
What is Anki?
Anki is a flashcard app that uses spaced repetition to help you remember more in less time. We generate a ready-to-import .apkg deck so you can start studying right away. Get Anki .
Can I preview my deck before paying?
Absolutely! You can upload your PDFs and see the topics, subtopics, and sample questions completely free. You only pay when you're satisfied with the preview and want to download the full Anki deck.
What question format do you generate?
Right now, we only offer multiple-choice questions with a single best answer (up to 5 options, A through E), along with custom explanations for each answer. We're actively working on adding more question types. Questions are organized by subtopic and included in a hierarchical Anki deck structure.
Can I match my professor's exam style?
Yes! You can optionally upload old exams or practice tests, and our AI will analyze the question style, difficulty level, and format to generate similar questions from your study materials.
How long does it take to generate a deck?
Typically 30-60 minutes depending on the size of your materials and current demand. Our custom algorithm processes your PDFs, identifies topics, and creates questions — all automatically.
